HOW TO REACH HAMPTA PASS
Hampta pass is well connected to Manali road. If you are travelling from Delhi/NCR, Hampta pass is 550 km away from Delhi and 310 km away from the people staying in Chandigarh.
If you choose to reach via flight then you have to fly into the Bhuntar Airport which is located 52 km away from Manali. After reaching Manali there are taxi services that are easily available to take you this Hampta pass.
If you wish to travel to this amazing place by Road then you need to head towards Manali road from Delhi. It will take around 12-14 hours to take you to Manali and then Hampta pass. The nearest Railway station is Joginder Nagar railway station who wishes to travel by Train.
BEST TIME TO VISIT
The best time to visit the Hampta pass trek is the summer day between June to October mid. The best time consider when the trial is clear. HAMPTA PASS ITINERARY
Hampta pass is a 4-5 days trip that begins from Manali and further ranges for around 28 km. Hampta trek is located at an altitude of 14000km. Let’s discuss the detailed itinerary.
DAY-1 REACH MANALI AND TAKE REST
If you start your journey in the evening, an overnight journey will take you to Manali by 9 o’clock in the morning. After reaching Manali you may take a rest or can explore the beautiful Manali. Manali is nestled in hills; you may explore the hustle-bustle beauty of Himachali city.
DAY-2 MANALI TO JOBRA AND CHIKA
In the Morning you may head to Jobra which is around 30 km away from Manali. It will an hour to reach Jobra by taxi. This 2-3 hours trek from Jobra will take you to the Chika campsite. After reaching Chika you will witness the splendid beauty of Chika. This area is covered with River rani amidst and forest with oak trees, maple, and alpine. It is suggested to start the trek that allows you to reach Chika by 4 PM.
DAY-3 CHIKA TO JWARA AND BALU KA GERA
Once you leave from Chika campsite You will trek for the next 5 hours. beyond impressive you will catch the glimpse of the Himalayan chain of mountains where the Dhauladhar ranges begin. Dhauladhar range is called a white Range. These white towers occupy the entire frame of a valley filled with flowers and meadows. Once you arrive at Balu ka Gera you need to settle down for a day. After having lunch you may explore the ambiance around.
DAY-4 BALU KA GERA TO SIAGORU AND HAMPTA PASS
On this day you will explore the barren landscape in Lahaul and Spiti valley. There is a variety of regions that makes the Hampta pass trek most attractive and adventurous among amateurs. Your fourth-day trek will start with a steep ascent which will offer a panoramic view from the top then will descend towards the next campsite.
You can have a brief stopover at Hampta village then you need to head towards the camp at Siaguru
DAY-5 SIAGURU TO CHANDRATAL TREK
Siaguru is well known as a camping and trekking destination. Siaguru is a trail beyond the Hampta pass which leads to 4000m scenic mountain and snowy landscapes. The striking streams and rippling rivers make this place a treasure for trekking enthusiasts.
In this beautiful trail, you will find the Pir Panjal ranges of the Himalayan circle. This dominating landscape will take you to the Base camp at Chatru. At this place, you can enjoy the spectacular view of Spiti Valley. You will live in ChandraTal lake. this moon-shaped lake is located at the altitude of 14100 ft. After enjoying nature and the lake’s placid water you can drive back to Manali via Rohtang pass.
